Odell Teague was born on March 30, 1942, along with his twin brother, Adell, to
the late Junior and Lille Ida Teague in Huron, Tennessee. Odell peacefully
departed this earthly life on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Odell was educated in Henderson County and graduated from Montgomery High
School. He met and married Ophelia and to this union one child was born. Odell
was a faithful member of Madison Street Church of Christ until his health failed
him. He loved his church and church family.
He worked all his life and retired from Leroy-Somer. He can be remembered for
his love of talking, kindness and his willingness to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ophelia; and nine siblings,
Herman Teague, Bobby Teague, James Teague, Willie Teague, Charles Teague,
Eddie Teague, Willa Buckley, Earlene Bennett and Corine Sue Humphrey.
Odell leaves to cherish his loving memories, one daughter, Toywona (Marvin)
Mayo, two loving grandsons: Malcolm (Brittany) Mayo, and Myles Mayo all of
Lexington. Four great grandchildren: Korbin Mayo, Kamari Sky Mayo, Maddox
McDonald and Fallon Bailey. Four Sisters: Jearlene Cooper, Ruthie M. Harmon,
Louise Nicholes, Christine (Jessie) Hall. Two Brothers: Adell (Joliet) Teague and
Paul (Lena) Teague and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
