Mary Elizabeth Drake

Mary Elizabeth Drake was born on December 18,1963 to the late Clara Elizabeth Hunt-Womack and the late Partee Smith. She attended the public schools in Jackson-Madison County. She accepted Christ at early age. 

Mary was a loving caregiver at Loving Arms. Mary married the late Barton Ray Drake, Sr. on December 25, 2001.

Mary had a kind and sweet spirit. She was quiet and a little shy until she got to know you. She had a heart of gold. Mary loved to cook! You didn’t have to worry about being hungry, because she was going to feed you. Lord have Mercy, that dressing was off the chain! She was always willing to help someone. Mary loved her grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Smith.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories two children, Canesha Poole and Shanquila Drake of Jackson, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Rosalyn Drake; two step-sons, Barton Drake, Jr. and Joseph Robinson both of Jackson, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Raikwan, Raikeiran, Raikeirnee, Jakobe, Kamarion, Ja’Michael, Jarrian, Khadijah, and Kanessha; four sisters, Joyce (Oliver) Womack Gilmer of Henderson, Kentucky, Billy Smith of St. Louis, Missouri, Debra Smith of Memphis,Tennessee and Rosa Lee of California and one brother, Nate Smith of Memphis,Tennessee; two nieces, Nekesha (David) Cozart and Brittany Gilmer both of Lexington, Kentucky; a great niece, Destiny; three great nephews, Zachary, Dalen ,ZayKwan and a host of loving cousins and two best friends, Arlecan Williams and Derrick Barnes.
