Mae Ella Luster was born on July 8, 1940, to the late Clinton (Monk) and Dovie Luster. She transitioned peacefully at home November 8, 2024, surrounded by her family. Mae was educated in the McNairy County School system. She worked at Aqua Glass for over 20 years until she retired. She professed her love for Christ at an early age at St. Rest M.B. Church and later moved her membership to New Bethel United Methodist Church. She loved working in the church and serving until her illness prevented her from doing so.
Mae was a loving, caring person who loved to cook and share her food with family, friends, and the community, especially on Sundays after church. There were no hungry people around Mae. If anyone was in need, she was always willing to assist wherever she could. Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to O.D. Jackson on January 14, 1962. After this union, six children were born Don, Barbara, Marvin, Pat, Matissa, and Allen. Mae was proceeded in death by her grandparents Nath and Clara Stricklin Wade, Rosie Wade, Sam Luster, Viola Knight; sisters Ernest Mae Luster, Dorothy Hughes, Willie Ann Hughes, brother M.C. Luster, grandson-in-law Chris Turner, and a great granddaughter Deanna Faye Snow.
